In the context of Ireland’s Presidency of the European Union, the Irish Banking Culture Board (IBCB) will be holding a half day Conference on the morning of Friday, 9th October 2026 in Dublin 4.
Confirmed speakers include European Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law and Consumer Protection, Commissioner Michael McGrath, Member of the European Parliament Regina Doherty, CBI Director of Horizontal Supervision Patricia Dunne, and the CEOs of AIB Colin Hunt, BOI Myles Grady and PTSB Eamonn Crowley, leading academics in law from Trinity College Dublin, University of Bristol, and Kapodistrian University of Athens and others.
Themes to be explored include Building and Protecting Trust in Europe’s Democratic Institutions; Rebuilding Trust in Irish retail banking – lessons learned; Trust & the Digital Euro; Individual Accountability.
