The Irish Banking Culture Board (IBCB) welcomes the measures offered by member banks to customers experiencing financial difficulty as a result of the coronavirus. Customers experiencing difficulties should contact their bank to discuss their situation and ensure that they are fully informed of all terms before entering into any arrangements. The IBCB highlights the need for customers to fully understand the financial impact, but in particular, any long term additional costs associated with revising arrangements for their loan repayments.

We understand that this is a difficult time for people and businesses. We support the decisions taken by our member banks to protect the safety and well-being of their staff, customers and the wider public during this period.
